Décor That Feels Like Fall
In Texas we have more cedars, oaks and shrubs than leafy trees that change color. But that doesn’t affect the connection people have to fall hues, which are one of the most identifiable aspects of autumn. The color scheme is an important part of the décor, and in fall you can really have fun with it.
We suggest choosing a combination of colors that are inspired by the great outdoors:
- Reds – This color is closely tied to passion, which is why we love it for casino parties. With red around it’s even easier for people to get fired up about winning a game.
- Oranges – Orange is a good accent color because the bright hue pops against just about any other color.
- Yellows – It’s the most vibrant and energetic color of the rainbow. Yellow sounds pretty perfect if you’re planning a casino style party or fundraiser.
- Browns – Brown is a great base color that can give the décor some weight without feeling harsh or heavy.
- Creams – Creams are a good replacement for crisp white, which is associated more with the sunny summer months.

Natural Elements
Since the color scheme is coming from Mother Nature, it only seems logical to incorporate natural elements into fall décor. Take a peek in any decorating magazine in October or November and you’re sure to see pumpkins, pine cones, corn, tree branches and a variety of squash.
Fall is traditionally the harvesting season, and it shows in the abundance of natural décor. Perhaps the most well known example of this is the cornucopia. It’s a symbol of the fruitfulness and abundance that people enjoy after all of their hard work. We can’t think of better symbolism for casino parties than “the horn of plenty”.
A nice benefit of fall theme décor is that you can find most of it in the produce aisle or right outside. Natural elements like hand-decorated miniature pumpkins can also double as unique party favors.
Party Games to Play During the Autumn Season
Some of those fall fruits also make their way into seasonal games that are enjoyed by people of all ages, like bobbing for apples. We specialize in casino games, but we always encourage clients to come up with complimentary side games that can be used to award prizes or raise money.
Tying in the season is a great way to incorporate these sidebar attractions. You could also use the autumn as inspiration for prizes, silent auctions and raffles. For example, a family hayride for four and two pumpkins at a local patch could be a raffle prize. If your party precedes the Halloween holiday you could also give away gift certificates to costume shops or a makeup session with a professional artist.
