Quirky Austin Venues

The location of your Casino party sets the tone for the entire shindig, from overall ambiance to basic needs. You need something uniquely you, so we’ve put together a list of our favorite quirky Austin venues.

MAX’s Wine Dive

MAX’s Wine Dive, with its basement location and exposed brick walls, is reminiscent of a retro, 1920s speakeasy. It’s equipped with three party rooms, two of which are the perfect size for a large Casino party. The modern décor paired with its industrial interior gives it a retro-chic feel that adds just the right spice to any party. And to top it off, its slogan is “Fried chicken and champagne?...Why the hell not?!” They’ve got all the class and fun of fine wine, without the expensive frills.

Zilker Clubhouse

Austin Parks & Recreation’s Zilker Clubhouse is situated on a hill in Zilker Park, offering a gorgeous view of Texas’ greatest city. It’s equipped with a limestone clubhouse and large patio and fireplace, making it the perfect venue for an indoor-outdoor soiree. It’s an excellent venue for DIY decorators.

The Oasis on Lake Travis

The Oasis on Lake Travis’ claim to fame is that it’s the sunset capital of Texas. With its multi-level balcony overlooking Lake Travis, it’s a claim we can’t refute. The Oasis serves delicious Mexican food and is equipped with several event rooms, most of which overlook Lake Travis. If you’re into beautiful waterfront and sunset views from a unique venue redolent of an extravagant treehouse, this is the place for you.

Texas Military Forces Museum at Camp Mabry

The Texas Military Forces Museum at Camp Mabry is Austin’s best kept secret when it comes to party venues. A 1940’s party is a perfect theme for this venue, outfitted with an array of World War II memorabilia, including uniforms and a tank.

Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center

The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is an Austin gem. Its quaint, yet elegant stone buildings and beautiful ballroom which overlooks the prairie makes it the perfect venue for any party (especially Casino!) At nightfall, gorgeous globe lights strung from tree to tree illuminate the venue with a warm and cozy glow.

Saengerrunde Hall

Saengerrunde Hall is a quaint dance hall with a stage and wooden dance floor surrounded on two sides with ample seating. It’s rich in German heritage, named for the Saengerrunde singing society formed in 1879. Nestled against the famous Scholz Garden, Saengerrunde Hall is a classic Austin favorite!
